An exhibition of new paintings
Art Gallery on Darling

Flowers have their own "personalities". That is, they each have a symbolic meaning of some sort. Sometimes it is the different colours that provide their meanings. This exhibition explores a variety of white flowers and the personality types that can be associated with each.
The works will be shown alongside Rod Grant"s new "Totem" collagraphs and we introduce Catherine Viles with her debut exhibition of a series of miniature sculptures called "Still, Life".

Australian artist Michelle Henry explores themes of love, lust and longing as intrinsic to the human condition, often painting the flower as a metaphor. Her images are paired with carefully chosen texts selected from a range of literary sources which enhance her themes and invite contemplation. To see more, go to the Artworks tab and select a series.
